Frequently Asked Questions

What Mileage is allocated to my rental?

We apply a 200 mileage allowance to your first day, then an additional 150 miles per day thereafter capped at 1000 miles for the first week. Subsequent weeks are 500 miles per week. Any mileage over this will incur a fee of £0.25p per mile, so for example for an extra 50 miles it is £12.50. If you are renting for longer than a week please check with our rental advisors. Our prestige and classic vehicles mileage allowance is 150 miles per day, and anything above this is charged at £2.00 per mile or £1.00 per mile if prebooked.

How much is the deposit and when will I get it back?

We take a £300.00 deposit on all vehicles with exception of our camper vans at £1000.00 and our classic and prestige at £2,500.00 these are held against a credit / debit card and is cancelled once it comes back (damage free of course). This may take up to 28 days to clear depending on your banks’ terms and conditions.

What proof will I need to provide to rent a vehicle?

Our insurance company insist we have to see your UK Photo Driving licence (Photo ID will be required if your licence is still a paper one), 2 separate proof of address letters or documents with your full name & postal address that are dated in the last 3 months and that have been received to the address on your licence. These can be a council tax bill or utility bill etc. But bank statements, mobile phone bills, car tax reminders etc. are not accepted. You will also need to know your National Insurance number or have completed a Driver Licence Check Code on line using this link - https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence.

How old do I need to be to rent a vehicle?

We ask that the driver is between 25 – 75 years old, and any endorsements must be notified to us before hire to ensure they satisfy our insurance criteria, if you are over 25 you must have had your licence form over 12 months and if you are under 25 you must have had your licence for over 24 months and with no endorsements, also subject to vehicle grouping and an increase in insurance excess.
